SUSTAINABLE RAW PAPERS
All raw papers we use are either FSC®-certified virgin fibre papers from sustainable forestry or Blue Angel-certified recycled papers from German or European production. By using sustainability-certified papers and ensuring short transport routes from our raw material suppliers, we make a substantial contribution to reducing the ecological footprint of your packaging. As part of our commitment to preserving natural resources, we strictly comply with the European Regulation on Deforestation and Forest Degradation (EUDR).

ECO-FRIENDLY WATER-BASED INKS
At WOERNER, we print exclusively with environmentally friendly water-based inks and varnishes. These not only deliver fantastic print results, but are also far superior to solvent-based inks in terms of sustainability and are significantly less harmful to health. ALMOST-ZERO-WASTE-PRINTING-TECHNOLOGY
Good to know: Our pioneering “Almost-Zero-Waste-Printing-Technology” allows us to save resources and produce more sustainably than almost any other packaging company. With the help of our new, intelligent printing forms, we reduce the previously common process-related waste by 95%. Even the minimal, unavoidable paper offcuts are not simply discarded but are fully returned to the circular economy or paper recycling.
HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY
All our printing and processing machines in our sustainable production facilities are state-of-the-art and have exceptionally low energy consumption. In addition, over the past few years, we have converted the majority of our lighting systems to energy-saving lamps. Naturally, we have successfully completed the DIN EN 16247-1 energy audit, which benefits not only our own CO₂ footprint but also that of our customers.
